Amal Ganesha



Amal Ganesha Warganegara is the co-founder and non-executive chairman of Ganesport Foundation. A true football addict and sport scholar, Amal believes that sport can make impacts for humanity.

Amal completed his Bachelor of Economics at Universitas Indonesia in 2011 and received a master’s degree in sport management at Coventry University in 2014, in addition to now undertaking an MBA at Glasgow University. He holds The FA Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Football and The FA Beginners’ Guide to Coaching Futsal, which both took place in Wolverhampton sometime in 2013. Amal did his sport management’s dissertation about brand loyalty in football and whilst to that, he attended The FA Level 2 in Coaching Football in Leicester.

He is one of the first Indonesians who ever stood at the glorious 16-football-pitch City Football Academy since he was employed by Manchester City FC from 2014 to 2015. After his spell in Manchester, Amal totaled more than 8-year professional experience in a diverse range of sectors and roles, including brand activation manager at Bali United, journalist at Jakarta Globe, freelance sport-management consultant and lecturer in microeconomics and business communication at Jakarta Business School.

On weekends he likes to spend time playing futsal and football. When asked to name the best football team in the world, Amal always recalls Arsenal FC of London.
